Tonnes of rocks have been dumped on the Cala del Cosset in Denia. About 150 lorries have dumped these rocks under the orders of the regional coast department, despite the fact that the Cala falls within the Cabo de Sant Antoni marine reserve.

The Guardia Civil and council officials have halted the work , which has so far covered half the beach..

It appears that the workers were told to continue until the whole Cala was covered.

Denia council has ordered the complete removal of the rocks and the beach to be returned to its original state. To date the coast department has done nothing.
