A convoy of heavy goods vehicles took to the roads last Wednesday around the towns of Benidorm , La Nucia and Villajoyosa .

This was all part of industrial action being taken against rising fuel prices.

At Alicante’s main fuel depot, police and Guardia Civil have been employed to keep the tankers moving in and out ensuring that some petrol stations stay open.
