The mayoress of Denia has said that a promise has been broken by the coastal department .

It was promised that work would be halted  removing sand from Playa Els Molins to Playa l’Almadrava .

The mayoress had spoken with the coast chief about this illegal work.

Originally she had spoken of rocks being dumped on Cala del Gosset, then discovered about the sand moving .

The council claims that permission has not been given and therefore the work is totally illegal.

Opposition parties are urging the mayoress to denounce the coast department for offences against the environment.
