The urbanisation of Campoamor has met to discuss the contoversial topic of private security.

Camoamor’s  managing entity representitive informed them that he is not allowed to contract the service as the entity was dissolved by the Orihuela town hall in January.

Should individual urbanisation residents committees wish to do so themselves then they could do so.

He stressed that private guards would not be patrolling the streets , they would be able to watch over certain areas by video camera only.

Public areas and public streets would not be under surveillance, they come under the jurisdiction of the police.

Private security guards will only go to urbanisations if they see something suspicious.
