The Noah’s Ark animal sanctuary at Benimantell has come up with an interesting idea for raising funds.

It has been forced to close its doors to casual visitors but now the owner has decided to ask people to adopt an animal  at a cost of 50 euros a year.

People who adopt an animal can visit it at the sanctuary.

It takes about a 1000 euros a day to care for all of the animals. The Ministry of Agriculture gives the sanctuary 70,000 euros each year  and this has to be topped up by donations.
