Acintur Bahia SL has won the contract to run Calpe Pueto Blanco for 3 years.

The company has to invest more than half a million euros in improving the infrastructure of the port. This will involve dredging the mouth of the harbour, reinforcing the jettyplus improvements to the interior of the harbour.

The dredging has already begunand the number of moorings has increased to 112.

Parking facilities have increasedand there will also be a small dry dock.

Contracts that yacht owners had to moor their boats until 2o33 have been annulled by the regional government and those wishing to moor their boats will have to new and revised fees.

This matter is now being investigated by lawyers.There has been no mention of compensation for yacht club members.
