Following an accident in the town last week when a gas tanker crashed , causing a large area to be evacuated, the council is going to introduce a new bylaw to control the movement of dangerous goods .

Such goods will only be permitted to travel on certain routes and at certain times of the day.

Traffic was also badly disrupted last week in Benidorm because of the accident.
