This accident happened on the N332 in Calpe. The lorry driver was badly injured when his lorry left the road and careered down a ravine.

The reason for the accident is not yet known but driver error is suspected.

Paramedics stabalised the 34 year old driver before transferring him to the intensive care unit in the hospital at Denia .
