On August 13 there will be a most spectacular firework display in Elche.

It  is on the Nit de L’Alba when the characteristic palm tree fireworks go up to light up the night sky and turn it into day .

More than 500 of these spectacular pyrotechnics are due to be launched .This is more than a hundred more than last year .

It is still possible for districts to apply to set off their own ” palmeras ” , this is possible until August 5.

For this to happen a resident would need to pay 150 to 200 euros and then they would have a dedication in the official guide  .
