The Andalucian village of Competa will be celebrating its 33rd Noche de Vino this weekend .
Up to 8000 people are expected to attend and more than 5000litres of wine will be provided for tasting .
What used to be an evening entertainment has become an all day affair . It begins with grape crushing in the Plaza de la Vendimia and then a street fair promoting local produce begins . This part of Malaga province was one of the first to promote regional food and drink.
As the evening progresses there is a flamenco competition with many well known local dancers participating .
This event has national tourist status and draws in very large crowds .
