Two resorts in Malaga experienced explosions caused by small bombs attributed to the Basque separatists group ETA.

The first was in Guadalmar near an hotel at about 1pm and the other at a marina car park in Benalmadena , two hours later .

There were no injuries and very little damage . However the police did find a third device and defused it . This was at a bridge on the road leading to Malaga airport .A phone call did warn of explosions and the call was in the name of ETA.

It did cause a lot of hassle as over 10,000 people were evacuated from the harbour at Benalmadena and roads around Malaga were gridlocked for sometime .
