There was an explosion in a beachfront apartment in Calpe last week .
It caused a lot of damage to other homes and also to parked cars . It appears that there was a leak in the hose of a gas bottle .
After the blast a man was seen running into the apartment with a fire extinguisher .
The fire brigade , plus police went to the scene but there was no one in the apartment at the time of the explosion .
