Rafael Nadal has added yet another trophy to his many titles . The Mallorca born Spaniard has now become an Olympic Champion , winning his gold medal against Fernando Gonzalez of Chile .

Nadal commented that because this opportunity only comes around once every four years , it is a difficult trophy to acquire .

It was a three setter , Nadal winning by 6-3, 7-6 , 6-3 , a convincing win .
