The El Verger Bous al Carrer fiestas took place last week and during the festivities a young Frenchman was gored very badly in the leg .
The man tried to reach the safety of a barrier but the bull’s horn entered the back of the leg to a depth of about 10 cms
Emergency services attented to the injury for 45 minutes and then he was transferred to Denia hospital .
Spectators felt that the man had underestimated the danger of the event and also the speed of the bull .
This is the third time that people have been gored this month , two men were gored in Calpe .
