There were high seas dramas when a Santa Pola fishing boat came across aboat full of immigrants , on their way to Spain .
The boat was stranded 100 miles off the coast of Libya this month .
The fishermen were confronted with a boat full of exhausted and dehydrated people , 10 of whom had died .
The survivors were taken to Libya but were not allowed to land until diplomatic channels had been cleared . Even then some of the occupants were too scare to go ashore .This is the fifth time that Santa Pola fisherman have intervened in a humanitarian venture such as this .
