A massive plan has been unveiled for the seafront of Torrevieja . It has been the dream of the mayor to see this happen , for 20 years .
The dream was unveiled at the Virgen del Carmen theatre last week .
They want to merge the harbour and the town into one , opening the town to the sea .The fairground and market will disappear and give way to swimming pools , gardens and commercial areas .
Two of the docks will be linked by promenades creating a 4km long walkway along the front .
The Club Nautico will disappear and the whole area will be opened up to the sea and a new Club Nautico will be built .
There will be underground carparks for 2000 vehicles . Sadly no time scale has been given for all of this project to take place .
