There are plans to build 1800 homes in Parcent ( Jalon Valley )and the residents are far from happy about it .

In fact they have formed an association called Veins de Parcent to fight the plans .

They have repeatedly made complaints to the council , with no results . There are three developments which have been approved .

There main concern is the lack of water . Naturally , the increase in population and the visual eyesore that would be created are also high on their list of complaints .

There are barely 700,000 cubic metres of water available and with the increase in population this need would rise to 3.3 million .

Even the Confederacion Hidrografica have stated that the supply is insufficient ..

At the moment they are awaiting the response from the regional ombudswoman to give her views on the case .
