Last week a new baby arrived at Terra Natura in Benidorm , a rare Siamang monkey .
It is the first to be born in the theme park . It is native to Malaysia and is a form of gibbon and therefore more ape than monkey .
Its behaviour is also unusual in that for the first year the mother does the caring , nothing unusual there , but then it is the father who takes over the caring .
These animals are listed as endangered . They can live for up to 25 years in the wild but for longer in captivity . They usually mate for life .
