The New York fire department has signed an agreement with Murcia fire department to exchange training courses and specialised workers .

The regional councillor for the environment visited FDNY last week and had some very successful meetings .

As many new buildings in Murcia are now much higher the fire department needs to learn new skills in how to deal with fires and other catastrophes . New York has the most up to date facilities .
