Two Nueva Javea councillors have spoken out against the increased taxes levied at residents .
They claim that for many it means financial ruin .
The new ” catastro ” rateable values , used to calculate IBI taxes have been annulled by the Superior Court of Justice , yet the IBI receipts show that they are still rising .
They say that these rises are ilegal and want to know if monies will be returned to residents . The present administration should be easing the situation and not making it worse .
