A house was destroyed and a woman and her granddaughter were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in their home in Torrevieja .

The butane cylinder exploded in the kitchen of the two storey terraced house , blowing off the front door and causing a fire which destroyed the property .

Three of the four people in the house were rescued from a balcony and the grand mother and granddaughter were taken to hospital for minor burns .
