Hugo Sanchez , the former Mexico soccer coach has been brought in to replace the sacked Almeria soccer manager .
Arconada was sacked after their defeat against Gijon last weekend .
Sanchez represented his country at 3 World Cups and was five times the La Liga top scorer , four times consecutively .
He also picked up five Spanish league medals ,two Copa del Rey , four Spanish Supercup and one UEFA cup medal while he was playing for Real Madrid , Atletico Madrid and Rayo Valecano .
He has managed his National side , taken Pumas to the Mexican title twice and spent a brief period with Necaxa .
It appears that his contract with Almeria runs until the end of the season and will be extended for a year if they avoid relegation .
