Plan Integral de Empleo ( PIE ) is a scheme which helps disabled people to find jobs .Benidorm council via its local development and employment agency have found permanent jobs for 30 people in 2008 .

The hotel chain Med Playa has been employing the disabled for the past 30 years and since the PIE has been in place it has been very willing to help.

There is a financial reward for the employer as they receive 8,000 euros if the contract which they give is a permanent one and there are lesser amounts for shorter term contracts too .

One hotel in Benidorm has given employment to one young disabled woman and they have extolled her virtues as an employee .She is fulfilling all of the skills that any employer would want to see in one of their employees .
