Denia should have a mains gas supply by the end of April 2011.

Engas is the company responsible for carrying out this huge project and it has been given two years and four months to finish the job .

The project was approved by central government on the last day of 2008 and is seen as being of some urgency .

The proposals have been to have an underwater gas pipe to run from Denia to Ibiza and it is now many years since this was first proposed .

The gas station next to Les Deveses beach on the cusp of El Verger and Denia has only just been given the green light .
