The sales in Murcia started on January 2 and the regional consumer’s office launched a campaign to inform shoppers of their rights .
According to the consumers’ office the articles being sold should show the original and the new price on the labels .
Also , if a shop accepts credit cards during the non-sales period then they must also accept credit cards during the sales period too .
All shoppers are advised to ask for a receipt as it is the only evidence of a sale having been made .Products sold with a guarantee have a guarantee when sold during the sales too .The office has also advised that shoppers check goods very carefully as seconds should be labelled as such .
Shopping during the sale period can mean making hasty decisions about purchases but consumers still have the same rights as at other times .
