The recession is making many businesses and individuals more innovative in an effort to keep their businesses afloat .In Albufereta in Alicante one of the frontline hotels is offering its rooms for rent at just under 400 euros a month .
The hotel trade all along the Costa Blanca has suffered last year and even more so this year.Instead of taking their holiday in an hotel with full board or half board , they are either staying at home or renting a flat or villa and eating at home .All of these are bad for business .
Consequently hotels just want to cover their costs and keep staff in jobs so these rentals could do just that .However they will affect the private rentals which cost a lot more .However for private rental you get much more than just a room .Reservations at this particular hotel has to be for a minimum of three months .At the moment seven rooms have been taken of the 30 available and another eight are in the offing and under offer .So it seems to appeal .
