A Plan Parcial development scheme for the El Algar zone of La Nucia has been quashed by the Superior Court of Justice in Valencia because there just isn’t enough water to sustain it .

Under the project a company called ParajeCautivadorSA planned to build almost 3000 new homes on 1.6 million square metres of land but the Court of Justice has ruled that the council has provided documentation to prove that there is not enough water to sustain such a project , there just isn’t sufficient water .

Despite this setback the council isn’t giving up hope and say that the Superior Court of Justice was not the end of the story and that they would be lodging an appealbecause they believe that there is sufficient water to guarantee supplies to an urbanisation of this size.The Mayor says that all of the studies show that there is sufficient water .Well someone is once again telling porky -pies .Is this another case of wanting to rake in revenue from building licenses ?Will the data be manipulated to show what the court wants to see or is that  just being cynical ?
