Costa Blanca Crimes

There was a great deal of trouble caused when the ” heavies ” went in to evict a man from a property in Javea .The scenario happened in 2008 and it resulted in murder. It is alleged that four British nationals are involved in the crime .The trial was due to begin in the court in Alicante this week but now it has been postponed .The reason for the postponment is that the judge wants to read medical reports about the mental state of one of the accused .

The body of the victim was discovered under the bridge spanning the AP-7 near Ondara. It was in an advanced stage of decomposition .There was a lengthy identification process but the forensic examination revealed the man to be Colyn Roy.The police say that the victim was stabbed and beaten to death .It is also alleged that when the quartet thought tht he was dead they wrapped him in a sheet and transported him in the boot of a car. However he wasn’t dead and when he shouted from the boot , someone went and finished him off .Three of the accused are charged with murder and the fourth , the victim’s ex girlfriend , is charged with trying to cover up the crime..A new date for the trial has not been given.

In October 2007 it was alleged that a man had killed the owner of a brothel in Pedreguer. However the judge in the case has now freed the man due to lack of evidence.Eyewitnesses say that they saw the man there but the prosecution could not prove it .The prosecution had asked for a 16 year sentence for the man accused of the crime.
