All charities are in need of money to enable them to do their charitable work .Jalon Valley HELP are now opening a second shop in Alcalali in an effort to make more money through selling via the shop.The official opening was last week .The opening ceremony enables people to see just what the shop has to offer and also enables people to meet the volunteers and maybe become a volunteer themselves .The shop is situated near the baker’s in the high street .The other shop is in Jalon itself and that will remain open and trading as normal .The shop in Parcent has closed down .Any person who might be interested in becoming a volunteer can contact the HELP office in La Xara on 966427044.
Last week the Calpe Rotarians donated 400 euros to HELP of Denia and the Marina Alta.David Shute the BBC producer and presenter gave the cheque to the Calpe HELP coordinator.She then gave a talk to the rotarians to explain the work which is done by the charity.
