A group of five men from Almassera in Valencia were scuba diving off Cabo de Sant Marti in Javea ,and when one of them surfaced after his dive he hit his head against the boat,causing him to become unconscious.
The other men were not aware of this and the man ,when he was pulled out of the water underwent what the men thought to be a cardiac arrest .They attempted to keep him alive until the emergency services were able to help but could not do so.
Part of the scuba diving protocol involves the procedures for surfacing and keeping communications going with the driver of the boat .However on this occassion something seemed to go wrong with this communication system.In these circumstances a post mortem will ascertain the cause of death .
