The Anneke Residence in Alfaz del Pi is a place where they are wanting to create a constantly evolving and stimulating place to live and work for both staff and residents.
The next artist to exhibit there is an Englishman,richard Lee.The exhibition opens on July 3 and they are hoping that many people will take the opportunity to visit and view.Richard Lee moved to Spain in 2003 when he retired .He worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry and he also taught.He didn’t start to paint until he moved to Spain and he chose oils as his medium.He paints portraits ,following the 18th century Dutch School.He also enjoys portraying the lives of ordinary people on canvas very much in the way that painters depicted the cowboys and ranch hands in the USA ,with the wonderful backdrop of scenery of mountains and praire.
The staff is hoping that a large number of local people will turn up to view a very interesting new artist.Stimulating the mind into deciding what you enjoy or not is good for everyone .Having real valid reasons for those decisions is also a very important skill and engenders great discussion .
