The economic crisis is hitting car thieves it seems .Car thefts in Marbella this year are down by 35% which is great for car owners .Increased police pressure and surveillance is also a factor in the downturn we have been told.The market however just isn’t there at the moment for the low end of the market or for those luxury cars of the Marbella area,people just haven’t got the cash to purchase them .

Car thefts also fell in 2008 but only by 20%.Another reason for thieves to be put off attempting to steal is that it has become more difficult to get away with the crime.Security in cars,especially at the top end of the market ,has become very sophisticated.Satellite systems within the vehicles also means that they can be located within hours of the theft.
