A resident of Cox ,near Orihuela,was attacked in the street last week by two men who are thought to be North African.The attack took place at around 6pm in broad daylight.The victim was intimidated for her valuables and then violently attacked.They hit her repeatedly and injured her arms and face in their attempt to steal her valuables.They took several gold items which she was wearing.
A relative alerted the police and gave them a description of the men.A couple of Cox police officers tracked the men and located them at about 4am.They still had several items belonging to their victim in their possession.They were arrested at the scene.Both men have criminal records.
The victim has expressed her gratitude for the work done by the local police in bringing her attackers to justice.
