Making the curriculum of a school bilingual is becoming more popular and now more schools in Malaga Province are opting for the system in the new academic year.The main language opted for is English but French is also an option.
Around 30 primary and secondary schools have now signed up with the Education Ministry for its new bilingual programme.This brings the total number of schools participating up to 694.This number is for the whole of Andalucia.
Eighty schools in Malaga Province already follow this curriculum and the extra thirty are an indication of its growing popularity.Students in these schools are taught in both Spanish and either English or French.There are advantages for schools which opt in .They are given extra IT facilities such as lap tops and also are given multi media language laboratories.
