The Spanish player Rafael Nadal is back to some semblance of fitness and is playing in the Rogers Masters in Montreal.Another Spanish player Fernando Verdasco was also on form and achieved the third round where he went out to Andy Roddick.The match was a three setter and no walk over for Roddick.In fact in the final set they had to go to a tie break for Roddick to take the match.Roddick took the match 7-6,4-6,7-6.The increased fitness and speed portrayed by Roddick saw him through to win the match.However Verdasco took him to the wire.Roddick will now play Serbia’s Djokovic in the quarter final.

Nadal ,it is good to see ,is back on the circuit after suffering serious knee problems.This is such a nice man that everyone around the world is wishing him back to his winning form.In the second round he beat the  German Petzshner and this was only his second game after losing out in the French Open Championships.Should the British star Andy Murray go through in this tournament and Nadal goes out then Murray will take the number 2 spot from Nadal in terms of the World ranking.In fact it was Spain’s Ferrero who lost to Murray in the second round sending Murray towards that special place in the rankings.
