Last week the police were called to stop a fight in Orihuela on the Costa Blanca.While they were attempting to do this a young British man got into his car and began to drive the car on the wrong side of the road towards a group of people including the astonished police officers.He had nothing to do with the original fight .He almost mowed down several pedestrians and a couple of police officers.They attempted to stop him but failed and he then escaped onto the N-332 where he just escaped crashing on a couple of occasions.
The young man continued his drive towards Alicante until he was eventually stopped by a Guardia Civil patrol car,assisted by Local Police.It turned out that this young offender already had a criminal record and he will now appear in court once again.This was not normal behaviour from any person and one can only assume that he was under the influence of alcohol or some other drug.One cannot think that any “normal ” person would behave in such a way without the influence of some chemical reacting in the brain.
