An elderly lady from Elche near Alicante was reported missing by her family and police made extensive searches for her.
Last week her body was discovered by police on a piece of fenced waste ground.it is possible that she wandered onto this piece of ground and could not find her way out as the land was covered with bushes and reeds.it is thought that she could have become disorientated.She died from natural causes ,a post mortem revealed
The post mortem also revealed that she had died soon after being lost as the body had been dead for at least five days when discovered.
Once discovered the body of Rosa Sempere was brought back to Elche and she was buried last week .
This type of accident is a very common one with elderly people who are not 100% aware of their surroundings and short of locking the elderly up it is almost impossible to prevent.
