In Girona on the Costa Brava they are getting tough on ant-social behaviour.When two young men decided to urinate from a bridge into the river they were caught in the act by the police and they have been fined 700 euros.
The local community has been up in arms about the severity of the fine.It appears that they are against what the two youths did and agree that they should be fined ,but 700 euros is a bit steep,is the general opinion.
Consequently the community decided to arrange a protest on the bridge in question and wanted all of the men to pee into the river.Dozens of people did turn up but only two actually urinated into the river.Whether or not they were also fined 700 euros isn’t clear.
Clearly this is not acceptable behaviour but also 700 euros is also totally “off the wall”.Most of the people who do this sort of thing would find a 50euro fine more than enough to make them think twice about doing the same thing again.
