A 15 year old from Sollana near Valencia went ,with friends ,to the local fiesta just 300 metres from her home.She failed to return at the appointed time and when her parents called her on her mobile,it was switched off.Parents naturally think the worst in such situations ,particularly if it is totally out of character.Consequently the parents contacted the police to report that their daughter was missing.This was a daughter who never stayed out late,never slept at the home of a friend without discussing it with her parents.They could think of no good reason why their daughter had not returned home ,other than something nasty might have happened to her.
Now the girl has been found safe and well five days after going missing from a mobile disco in the town.She did send her parents a text message from her friend’s mobile phone ,just to say that she was safe and well.This friend later called the girl’s stepfather and passed the phone to the runaway.She appeared very nervous when speaking to her stepfather but she was assured that there would be no repercussions when she got home.
Even then she was not willing to disclose her whereabouts but did say that she was with people that she knew.The police then traced the call to Sueca ,even though ,according to her parents ,she has no friends in that town.
