The foreign residents department in Altea on the Costa Blanca are organising another edition of its very successful “Conversation Club”.The councillor who runs the department has said that last year 80 people took part in the club activities and experienced the fact that it was a much better way to learn a language than the more formal methods.
The students took part in activities which involved food, reading, discussions about articles in the Spanish press, concerts and learning about Spanish music. The man in charge of the conversation club organised all of these activities .The club had three main objectives and they were a)to learn Spanish b) to learn about the Spanish culture and c) to enjoy the experience.
It gave those foreign residents of Altea ,who had learned some Spanish, the opportunity to put what they had learned into practice. The course is graded for those who are inexperienced and just beginning to learn the language to those who are much more advanced. The course costs 20 euros per month.
