Spanish customs officials were truly on the ball last week at Barajas airport in Madrid.The flight in from Brazil had a very elderly wheelchair bound lady on board ,accompanied by a much younger Uruguyan woman.
The behaviour of the elderly lady drew the attention of the customs officials and when their scruitiny grew too much the younger woman fled through the airport ,it seems to escape capture.
Meanwhile the 92 year old was taken into custody by the police and searched.The police discovered 4 kilos of cocaine strapped to her body.The couple were on their way to Tenerife.
There then began the search for the 44 year old woman in terminal 4.Eventually she was caught and arrested .The two were kept in custody until the details were sorted out.
