Alicante airport was the scene of an arrest of a British national last week.Three men who were wanted by the Serious Organised Crime Agency have been found and arrested in Spain.At Alicante a Glasgow born 28 year old was taken into custody after he had fled from the UK to the Costa Blanca.This man is said to have been driving along a motorway in Scotland last June .He was over the speed limit and over the alcohol limit.He had previously lost his license for motoring offences.He deliberately drove a van off the road ,coming in the opposite direction.The driver in the other van was killed in the accident.A passenger was seriously injured.He dumped his van and fled to Spain.
Another who was detained was a Spanish national who had been involved in a fight in a London pub in 2005.It is alleged that he pushed a broken glass into the face of another.This caused serious permanent injury to the other person.The accused managed to escape to his home in Barcelona but was arrested last week.
A third man was arrested in Galicia .This man ran a school in the USA as a front for money laundering since 2002.The man is wanted by US police.He is not qualified to be a teacher and had changed his identity to do so.
