Last week a serious bus crash took place near Barcelona on the Costa Brava.The bus was carrying 53 young people to the holiday resort of Calella from Holland.There were six teachers with the students.The crash happened at 6am on a very sharp bend near the town of Bascara,in Girona.It careered off the AP-7 and just flipped over.
A 16 year old girl was killed out right and another had serious injuries.Others suffered less serious injuries and were treated at local hospitals.The driver was tested for drugs and alcohol,the results f which were negative.
An investigation is now underway to discover the cause of the crash.Having seen photographs of the crash it is amazing to imagine that anyone could escape without serious injuries to themselves.
