Soccer is a world game,popular in so many countries .The Costa Blanca is going to have a visit from an ex-professional footballer who played for Leyton Orient and is now drawing attention to racism in the game.He is cycling from Norway to South Africa and will stop off at various Costa Blanca towns next month.
In Spain his first visit will be to Camp Nou in Barcelona ,heading down to Valencia ,planning to be in Torrevieja on November 9.There he will receive a civic reception and carry out a number of other duties at the club.
His trip will take 10 months in total and along the way he is collecting soccer shirts which will be sewn together to make the world’s largest soccer shirt.The shirt will symbolise the family of soccer across the world.His epic journey is called”The Shirt 2010″ and he has the backing of the Norwegian Refugee Council,the South African Premier Soccer League and FIFA.
