A 16 year old Spanish boy was travelling to an anti-fascist demonstration when he was stabbed to death by a 25 year old soldier at a Madrid station.The soldier has now been sentensed to 19 years in prison.The death took place in November 2007.He was jailed for another seven years for the attempted murder of a friend who was travelling with the deceased.He was also ordered to pay 100,000 euros compensation.
When a Spanish couple were murdered in Madrid by their mentally ill son it was not realised that the 77 year old woman was indeed Scottish.She moved to Spain in the 1950’s and married Jorge Perez who became a philosophy professor.The son was arrested at the scene of the crime and has admitted to the murders.
The father of the little girl who was allegedly abducted and then murdered in Huelva last year has spoken out to say that he doesn’t feel that the justice system is prepared to protect current -day society.He was speaking in Valencia where he was presenting his book “Ciudadano Cortes”.Since the death of his 5 year old daughter he ,his family and their supporters have been campaigning to have life sentences for those who kill children.During his speech he thanked everyone who has supported the family during the terrible ordeal which they have gone through.
