Members of the public have had their say in what has been going on with the environment department. They are going to include anything regarded as having high environmental value and also towns with notable architectural value. One brilliant idea is to plant salt marsh vegetation along roadsides and around urbanisations,to integrate them into the landscape.
Rural farmhouses ,historic canals and dykes ,plastic greenhouses will all undergo rehabilitation to blend into the landscape. There will be joint activities with the salt industry would make certain installations open to the public. The restoration of the visitors centre at Torrelamata is going to cost 124,000 euros.
