Those expats who are interested in practising the language and becoming more fluent need to join the Cartagena scheme”Bolsa de Idiomas”.Those taking part have been encouraged to take part in a whole mass of activities with local people.
The youth department is providing a visit to the Museum of Roman Theatre which is particularly focused on expats who are learning Spanish.It has also announced the Babel meetings .In these the expat participants may be German,British,Italians or french and they talk about their experiences and traditions in their home country or simply just meet people of other nationalities over a coffee in a cafe.
For those who are learning English a visit to the Punic Wall and the Casa de la Fortuna Roman villa is scheduled for November 14.In December there will be a multi cultural karaoke night where people will be encouraged to dress up in their national dress.Expats who want to improve their Spanish can register with bolsaidiomas@ayto-cartagena.es
