The Palau Altea will be the venue for the string ensemble Virtuosi Camerata and they will be joined by the world renowned saxophonist Calude Delangle.The concert has been given a theme and entitled “Sensuality and Nostalgia”.
They will play music by Astor Piazzola which will include Soledad,Oblivion,Mystery,Spring and Winter ,amongst others.The ensemble is made up of soloists Joaquin Palaomares,Katalin Petrik,Paul Cortese,Herwig Coryn,Francisco Lluch, and michael Wagemans.They come from a variety of nationalities including Hungary,USA, Belgium and Spain.They have all performed on national and international stages.
The repertoire of the group includes work by Mozart,Vivaldi,Bartok and Rossini.The saxophonist Claude Delangle ,in 1977 won the highest award from the Paris Conservatory of Music and since 1986 he has played with Ensemble Intercontemporain headed by Pierre Boulez.He has also played with the French National Orchestra and Radio France.He has also worked with the Berlin Philarmonic.
