The 2007 America’s Cup winner Alinghi and BMW Oracle are in an ongoing court battle about the next races and Valencia has been excluded from the talks because they were the host city.
There has been published this week by the Golden Gate Yacht Club a brief over why the resort of Ras Al Khaimah is unable to host the 33rd America’s Cup race and the report says that it should be held in Valencia..It looks as though the decision will go for the Spanish city. The judge has said that Alinghi should never have chosen Ras Al Khaimah as it was not permitted under the Deed of Gift.
Consequently the races must either take place in Valencia or they must take place in the southern hemisphere next February.
