The Murcia regional book fair drew 62 stall all along the Paseo Alfonso X,El Sabio in the city centre.It attracted large crowds with its many activities,the opportunity to browse and of course the opportunity to purchase.There were new releases,collectors editions,academic books,maps,antiques,comics and also gay literature.There were special stalls to celebrate the bi-centenary of Charles Darwin and also International asronomy Year.
In San Javier the childrens play apparatus in the Parque Jabalina has been changed by the municipal parks and gardens department.The new equipment has been designed to look like giant insects.There are some for older children and those for the under threes.This could also be the perfect opportunity to educate youngsters about the very insects that they are going to play on.This is the seventh park to benefit from a refurbishment which either adapts or replaces equipment.The local gardens are also benefitting from a refurb too.They are being planted with plants that are native and need little water.
